Alice Ostan is a London-based food and drink stylist specialising in commercial advertising, editorial, packaging, film and motion. She works with food and beverage brands, agencies, photographers, production companies and publications to create visually compelling, camera-ready food and drink.
With a background spanning photography, professional cookery and food styling, Alice brings a detailed understanding of ingredients, cooking techniques, composition and what makes food and drink perform on camera.
Her work covers food styling, drink styling, recipe development, creative consultancy and home economics, from stills and packaging through to moving image, advertising campaigns, social content, cookbooks and editorial.
Alice began her career in Italy, studying photography at the John Kaverdash Academy in Milan before training as a professional chef. She gained experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, including La Feva in Italy, Gordon Ramsay's Petrus and the private members club 5 Hertford Street in London.
Combining her background in photography, professional cookery and styling, Alice now works independently as a food and drink stylist across stills and motion. She also develops recipes and provides creative consultancy for cookbooks, supermarkets, magazines, social media and food channels, with particular expertise in plant-based and free-from recipes.
